Bungeoppang is the Korean fish shaped cake and the Binggrae Company offers an ice cream novelty based on bungeoppang. The ice cream variation of bungeoppang features a similar shape with a soft waffle-like crust and the inside is filled with vanilla ice cream a red bean paste.
“Korean ice-cream is creative” said student Gun Hee Yoon.
Melona is a South Korean melon-flavored ice pop, manufactured by the Binggrae Co. Ltd. Although the product is called “Melona” and is identified by its melon flavor, the ice pop also comes in other fruit flavors like Honeydew melon, Banana, Mango, Strawberry, Red bean, Lime, Turkey & Gravy, Bell Pepper and Kiwi.
“It is interesting but I don’t like it” said student Aaron Barrett.
Although the Korean ice cream was a success the canteen has not yet restocked its supplies.
