From the outside the HS Senate Winter Social on Friday, January 25, didn’t seem like a social activity where people were having fun. Once one saw those few friends you had hoped to see and started socializing with people, one would see that this was truly a good, well, social.
Students attending could have some pizza, some soft drinks, and of course, the most importantly, activities. They had some crazy activities, such as the sleigh ride (the craziest ride around). The photo booth captured some crazy frames for best friends, friends, and others.
To end the social, there was a big dodge ball match, where everyone was involved. Once you stepped into the arena, you would see colorful balls flying all across the room. Many of the lesser players got hit very early, and the more skilled players stayed in the fight until the end.
However, at 8 o’clock, the fun had to be cut off, and the students had to go home. Points must be given for the HS Senate for hosting such a great event. As I was personally there, I saw the happiness in many people’s faces. When dodge ball was being played, some were serious, but having fun at the same time. It was an energetic and creative event, despite having very few activities.
