Fluorescent colors, ‘90s patterns, Ray-Bans, sweatpants, every single trend and style was seen around UNIS on Thursday, November 1, as part of Spirit Week’s YOLO Day.
MSHS students all over campus were seen wearing their wackiest, weirdest, and the most un-fashionably unattractive things they could find in their closets. Thursday was YOLO day, and because “you only live once,” nobody wanted to miss what could have been the funniest day of the school year.
As Homerooms continued to fight for the free pizza by having as many students involved in Spirit Week as possible, students seemed to really enjoy dressing up bizarrely. Students sported floral patterned pants mixed with striped colored shirts, bathroom robes with high socks and sandals, (very popular) neon shirts and beanies and even some clothing pieces that made one think, “Where did they even get those?”
Spirit Week ended the next day with Zombie/Apocalypse day, but YOLO Day will be remembered for its fashion nightmares across campus. Hopefully, the school spirit will still be high after this and students will continue to as creative as they have been during Spirit Week.
