Cuba being removed from United State’s list of “state sponsoring terrorism”

  • This might be the key step in normalizing the relationship between Cuba and the US.
  • After Cuba is removed from the list there is a huge possibility of an U.S. Embassy opening in Havana, Cuba.
  • Obama supports the idea of removing Cuba from the list. In a message to the congress he stated that the Cuban government “has not provided any support for international terrorism” in the past 6 months.
  • Cuba is not yet officially removed from the list, but will be in roughly 45 days.

‘No jab, no pay’ policy in Australia

  • Australian parents will be losing thousands of dollars in childcare and welfare benefits if they don’t get their child vaccinated.
  • It is estimated that around 39,000 children under the age of 7 are unvaccinated.
  • Social Services Minister of Australia, Scott Morrison, said “The overwhelming advice of those in the health profession is it’s the smart thing and the right thing to do to immunise your children,”

Russia trading missiles with Iran for oil

  • Russia is trading missiles with Iran for oil.
  • Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Ryabkov said  “I wanted to draw your attention to the rolling out of the oil-for-goods deal, which is on a very significant scale,” and he added “In exchange for Iranian crude oil supplies, we are delivering certain products. This is not banned or limited under the current sanctions regime.”
