Important: All Gr. 9 – 12 students must attend an urgent meeting outside the cafeteria at 11:30 today (Thursday). Please be prompt.
The notice appeared on the Homeroom Announcements this morning, with nobody knowing what the urgent meeting was about. At 11:30, buzzing sounds of high school students filled the front of the stage in by the canteen, everyone was curious about what was going to happen. Mr. Kennedy stepped on the stage and welcomed us all but was interrupted by loud, excited screams that came from every side of the school. Middle school students gathered around the older crowd, some were on stage; others were upstairs in front of the library and the rest were on the grassy hills by the canteen.
“Cue the music!” one of them yelled, and so began the surprise flashmob.
It started with an upbeat Bollywood dance. As the crowd finally realized what was happening, the song quickly changed to the well-known Gangnam Style. The popular song with its unique choreography got everybody excited; even Mr. Fairbairn was doing the horse-riding dance. The flashmob ended with two students unfolding two large posters from the second floor, that read “Happy International Day of Peace!”, and within seconds, the excited young students disappeared, leaving the older ones speechless.

We have some limited video embedding capabilities but should be able to get the video up! Just come see me (Mr. Garland) and we can work it out. The other option is we can link to videos on YouTube, Vimeo or other online video hosting services.
