On the Saturday, August 29, a CAS group called “Peace Village” visited an orphanage for kids with disabilities caused by “Agent Orange” in the Vietnam War.
When the group arrived they quickly set off to work for the three hours they had with the orphanage. From footballs to paper they started unloading all the items they were going to share with the children.
The group did not struggle with the amount of children because there were other older groups there as well to help the kids.
The group’s role is to supply some resources for the orphanage to help make the kids there satisfied and happy. Happiness is scarce in the orphanage due to lack of money and funds. The orphanage is run on donations and volunteers.
The students involved with the CAS group include Angela Tran, Da Yeon Lee, Dong Heon Lee, Hai Anh Nguyen, Haruka, Nishimura, Hyun Gyu Park, Izziany, James Carpy, Jihoon Kang, Kofi Buahin, Kyung Hyea, Hyun, Maximillian Tang, Nicole Norton, Taku Aiga, Kamila Solihin, Will Stephens, Tuan Anh Nguyen are all part of the CAS group. Despite their number, only seven enthusiastic students climbed on the bus for the first trip.
