Festive Fundraiser

This year’s Festive Fundraiser, held on December 5th, was no doubt another success for all. Filled with delightful food, music, and entertainment, there was an endless number of attractions for one to tick off on their to-do list. Moreover, Service Learning groups took this opportunity to raise awareness and money for charity. The results of their efforts could be seen on delighted painted faces and hand-made badges that soon dominated the event. Of course food was not to be missed, as fresh popcorn and hot sausages were sold and refreshments were available to all in attendance.

However, the main spotlight of the day was the music. No matter where you went, the energy coming from shows performed  by children, the melodic ballad played by the flute trio, and the wonderful jazz performance all warmed the audience and created a joyous mood fitting for the festive air. The endless stream of music coming from both inside and outside along with the combination of overall merriment marked the beginning of winter and the coming of Christmas as the Fundraiser truly lived up to its name of being a festivity.
