Saturday Soccer is a recreational and fun Saturday program, it lets students be able to learn Soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, etc. At the end of each session, which is approximately half a year, they host a grand Soccer Tournament. The next tournament is around the beginning of December. This year, a total of 43 MS students signed up for Saturday Soccer, 33 MS boys and 10 MS girls.
When interviewed about Saturday Soccer, Coach Andrew Spezowka, age 43, replied, “Saturday Soccer is a great way to spend Saturday mornings, it gets us moving and is just a good way to have fun on the weekend”. When asked about how he enjoys Saturday Soccer he said “I really like it, seeing how the kids progress over the season. There are some kids who are new to Soccer and who really enjoy it. To see how their skills improve over the months, and just to see how much fun they’re having, the point is to have fun, it’s not a competitive weekend, Saturday Soccer is meant to be recreational and fun for everyone”.
So far there has only been one Saturday Soccer practice and there will be more to come in the future. Check back daily to stay updated on the ongoing events at UNIS Hanoi MS!
